The story concerning possible bullying within professional sports organizations like the National Football League Miami Dolphins is a good example. In this case a 312 pound offensive lineman is alleged to have been bullied by another euqlly huge offensive lineman. The story also has possible ethnic bias overtones. One thing the story does is raise awareness that bullying can and does happen to anyone anywhere anytime no matter who you are. Not many of us would believe large physically powerful athletes would be prone to being bullied. However, Workplace bullying takes on many forms and creates dysfunctional work environments.
